The new Westbury Post Office
In December 2020, the Post Office closed its existing building in Westbury and transferred the service to Canford News, otherwise knows as Costcutters, the shop on Canford Lane near to Falcondale Road.
One advantage of the move has been the greatly extended opening hours for the Post Office, as the service is now available seven days a week, from 8:00am to 7:00 pm Monday to Saturday and 8:30am to 1:30pm on Sundays. The shop is generally quiet in the late afternoons and Sundays, when there will probably be no need to queue at all - a distinct change from the previous situation! Most of the usual Post Office services are available, including renewing road tax. There is also the facility to pay into or withdraw money from your bank account and to pay bills, regardless of which bank you are with
