The Society meetings are held on the last Monday of each month.

As well as sharing Society notices, guest speakers are arranged.

Admission: Members £1; Non-members £2  payable on the door

Monday 28th September. Lydney's Lost Fleet: the Lydney Ships Graveyard

An illustrated talk by Paul Barnett covering the history of an active 1930's working dock including its decline in the 60s and recent rebirth as a popular tourist destination.

Monday 26th October. “The Opening of the Royal Portbury Dock by Edward VII & Queen Alexandra in 1908”

An illustrated talk by Jean Routley.

Monday 30th November. “The End of Bristol Trams

A talk by Peter Davey on the end of trams in Bristol.

2010

Monday 25th January. “Bart Spices

A talk by Edward Shaw, Chairman of Bart Spices covering the history and
culinary uses of spices

Monday 22nd February. “Clifton Rocks Railway Refurbishment

An illustrated talk by Peter Davey
