The Westbury on Trym Society Committee

Members of the Committee are elected to serve for a three year term at the Annual General Meeting, which is held on a date between April and the end of May in Westbury Village Hall.

There are the usual officers but the secretarial duties are divided between four people to lighten the load. Namely:- Minutes secretary; Speakers/Events Secretary; Publicity Secretary and Membership Secretary.

Other members of the committee look after planning, environmental and social responsibilities.

Any member of the committee is of course free to resign his/her position before the end of a term should this become necessary. Nominations for officers’ posts and committee posts should be received from members of the Society at least two weeks before the AGM.

Any changes to the constitution must be proposed in writing, seconded and sent in, in time for the committee to give members at least one months’ notice of such proposals. Please take a look at our constitution or download a copy from here (you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer which you may download free here).

Please note that the constitution and the minutes of the last AGM (2010) are available to all.
